At long last, Doctor Who festive special “Revolution of the Daleks” is almost here. Here’s how fans can watch the new episode on New Year’s Day.
Doctor Who fans have been through it this year. After months of no news about any sort of holiday special, confusion over whether or not we’d even see one at all thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, and news that the upcoming season 13 would be shortened because of the same reason, it’s good that we at least finally have something to celebrate.
The long-awaited holiday special “Revolution of the Daleks” officially arrives today.
The installment will pick up in the wake of season 12 finale “The Timeless Children”, which ended with the Thirteenth Doctor trapped in a high security Judoon prison and with the fam back on Earth, with no knowledge of what’s happened to her.
And – since it says so right there in the title – somehow Daleks are going to be involed.
The special will see the Doctor Who debut of fabulous British actress Harriet Walter, most recently seen in Killing Eve season 3 and the EPIX period drama Belgravia. It will also feature the return of fan favorite John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness (!!!) and another appearance by Sex and the City alum Chris Noth, who will be reprising his role as odious American Jack Robertson from season 11 episode “Arachnids in the U.K.”. (Why? No one knows!)
Plus, those aforementioned Daleks sure do look snazzy with their new LED lights.
