All the Tides of Fate – Adalyn Grace

The highly-anticipated sequel to last year’s buzzy debut All the Stars and Teeth arrives in February and concludes author Adalyn Grace’s story of a princess desperate to prove herself, a dark family curse, and the pirate boy who may have stolen her heart.

As All the Tides of Fate begins, Amora Montara has taken her rightful place as the queen of Visidia. But she has also lost her magic and half her soul to a dark curse that has trapped it within the body of Bastian, the roguish pirate she may well love.

But how can she tell, when her soul is not her own? And how can she rule a kingdom, when she cannot be honest with her subjects – when she must lie to them as much as her father ever did? Under the cover of a royal tour to find a suitable husband, Amora sets out to find a way to break the curses that bind her – and balance her loyalty to her kingdom with the desires of her heart.

The official synopsis describes the story as follows.

Through blood and sacrifice, Amora Montara has conquered a rebellion and taken her rightful place as queen of Visidia. Now, with the islands in turmoil and the people questioning her authority, Amora cannot allow anyone to see her weaknesses.

No one can know about the curse in her bloodline. No one can know that she’s lost her magic. No one can know the truth about the boy who holds the missing half of her soul.

To save herself and Visidia, Amora embarks on a desperate quest for a mythical artifact that could fix everything―but it comes at a terrible cost. As she tries to balance her loyalty to her people, her crew, and the desires of her heart, Amora will soon discover that the power to rule might destroy her.

All the Tides of Fate is available on February 2.
