Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao

In Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao, Chloe Wang rents a boyfriend to introduce to her parents in an effort to keep up with the lie that she has one.

Drew Chan is perfect. He knows how to be quiet and kind whilst still being able to give the appearance of being in love without public displays for affection. It’s a win-win. Chloe gets to keep up her charade, and Drew gets paid.

Of course, Chloe’s growing feelings for the real Drew complicate things. She doesn’t want to marry Hongbo, her parents’ choice. (He may be rich, but he’s also slimy.) Drew, however, is an artist who has been cut off by his family for dropping out of college, so he’s not exactly what her parents would see as worthy of their approval — but she likes him anyway.

But to be with Drew for real, Chloe will have to quit lying and be honest with her parents and herself about what she truly wants before it’s too late.

Rent a Boyfriend is available now in print, audio, and e-book format.

Everything Changes by Catherine Bybee

Everything Changes is the third and final book in Catherine Bybee‘s Creek Canyon series. This time we follow Grace Hudson, a civil engineer who is the only woman in her department.

Grace is taking a break from men. Not only is she surrounded by them all day, but she’s still healing from a romance that left her traumatized and wary of trying again at love. That, however, doesn’t mean she can’t flirt with Dameon Locke over coffee.

Dameon is charmed by Grace but he’s not looking for love either. He’s got his mind on a new development project and keeping his company above water. His brief encounter with Grace was fun, but he never expected to see her again let alone leading the city board’s planning meeting for his project.

But before either of them can think too hard on their serendipitous reunion, Grace is accused of accepting bribes and her life is put in danger. Flirting can be harmless, but when your life and livelihood hang in the balance, love may come at a higher cost than it ever has before.

Everything Changes is available now in print, audio, and e-book format.
