Our spider senses are tingling: A live-action series based on Silk is reportedly in the works at Marvel. Here’s who we think should play Cindy Moon.

Yes, it’s finally happening! Peter Parker may be the most well-known Spider-Man, but he’s not the only hero with spider-like abilities. In fact, there’s a whole Spider-Verse, and another one of its members could be coming to our screens in the near future.

Miles Morales is great, but it’s time for the world to meet Silk. A live-action series based on Marvel’s fierce heroine is reportedly in the works and we couldn’t be happier. Sony is behind the series and has put Lauren Moon in charge of writing the scripts, while Phil Lord and Chris Miller will produce under Lord Miller.

Who Is Silk?

Silk, whose real name is Cindy Moon, made her first appearance in 2014 in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 before making her full debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #4.  A Korean-American classmate of Peter Parker, Silk was bitten by the same radioactive spider that gave Parker his powers. Since she’s unable to control her abilities, her parents enlist the help of Ezekiel Sims.

After training, Sims locks Cindy in a bunker to protect her from immortal hunter Morlun. Years passed before Peter Parker knew Cindy Moon was also bitten by the spider. After releasing her from the bunker, because of their spider-sense the two form a romantic, sometimes overwhelming relationship.

So, who should play Silk in the upcoming series? Here’s our list of Korean-American actresses who’d be a perfect fit!
