So where would the Bennet sisters from Pride and Prejudice be sorted in Harry Potter?
Sorting people into their Harry Potter houses is par for the course and now Mugglenet has done it for the Bennet sisters from Pride and Prejudice and it’s perfect!
Mugglenet has taken to the daunting task of sorting the Bennet sisters from Pride and Prejudice into their Hogwarts houses. It’s not exactly a new thing, we’ve all done it and for whatever properties we want. But let’s take a look at some of their choices.
I want to focus on two specifically (you can check out the rest at Mugglenet) and one I agree with and the other, not so much. George Wykham is a character that has made so many of us angry throughout the years for how he treated Lizzie Bennet and betrayed her. Unfortunately, he is all the terrible aspects of being a Slytherin (and none of the good things).
But the character I have issue with is their categorization of Fitzwilliam Darcy. Not because I think he’d be anything but a Gryffindor but rather because I don’t think you can really label him with the Hogwarts houses.
Gryffindors are brave at heart and Fitzwilliam is sort of brave, sort of smart, sort of clever, and sort of loyal. So would he just technically be all four Hogwarts founders? He’s just a hard nut to crack, something that Lizzie Bennet learned the hard way, but I guess he would be a Gryffindor. It just seems like it’s a bit of an easy choice for a man who is decidedly not easy to understand. Not in the slightest.
