In the Killing Eve season 3 premiere we learned that Villanelle believed Eve was dead. In season 3’s second episode we saw her find out that wasn’t true. Now, it’s time to see what, exactly, she’s going to do about it.

The cat and mouse game between the series’ two leading ladies is the engine that powers Killing Eve, but it’s also the show’s biggest problem. We have to keep finding ways to keep them apart in order to bring them back together again, and those ways seem to keep getting more and more outlandish. So, you know, one of them being presumed dead seems fair enough.

Thus far this season, both Eve and Villanelle have been on largely separate narrative tracks. Our favorite fashion-forward assassin is working on moving up the ladder at mysterious organization The Twelve

Season 3’s third episode is entitled “Meetings Have Biscuits” and the promo for it is basically as weird and disconnected as anything this show has ever put together. Does this tell us anything about this episode or its plot? No, no it does not.

What will Eve do now that she knows for certain that Villanelle has found out she’s not dead? And is Villanelle looking to make up – the teddy bear does seem like a nice gesture? Maybe? – or finish what she started? We’ll have to tine in and find out.
