Are you looking for a bit of fashion fun right now? Do you want to find a great movie to watch while staying in? Why not check out these five movies about fashion?

If you are anything like me, you’re probably looking for things to watch. And if you love fashion, then this might be the perfect time to give some fashion movies a watch.

Whether you have already watched these movies, or if you have never given them a chance, now is the perfect time to sit down and indulge in a little Fashion Friday fun. From The Devil Wears Prada to The Dressmaker, these fashion movies are a perfect way to enjoy the magic of fashion and entertainment.

The Devil Wears Prada

You can’t have a list of fashion movies and not include The Devil Wears Prada. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt give us a look inside the world of fashion and fashion magazines in a way that we had never really seen before.

This movie is a cult classic (and for good reason), and if you haven’t seen it, then now is absolutely the time. It’s more than just a lesson in fashion; this is a lesson in finding yourself, even as you transform to fit a certain image.

Funny Face

In 1957, the world was gifted with the musical rom-com, Funny Face. The fact that movie features the legendary talents of Audrey Hepburn makes this one fashion-focused film that everyone should watch at least once.

From a bookshop to modeling in Paris, Hepburn gives us stunning looks and beautiful moments that are iconic and memorable. Once you’ve watched Funny Face, you’ll wish you could travel the world rocking stunning outfits.

The Dressmaker

While The Dressmaker might not seem like the typical choice for one of these fashion movie roundups, I have to give this film a lot of credit. Not only do we see what it was like for women in the 1940s, but we also get to see a woman who is a talented dressmaker take on the town that cast her out.

This movie offers us both a look at what it was like to be a dressmaker back in the early part of the 1900s, and what it means to be wrongly accused of someone’s death in a time when that could have been a death sentence as well. The fact that the movie stars Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth makes it that much better.

Zoolander

It’s an action comedy, but it is also a brilliant satirical look at the fashion industry. Zoolander is here to make us laugh and also make us think.

While we might think of more serious films when it comes to fashion movies, there is something special (and ridiculous) about Zoolander that makes it a must-watch, even if it’s only once. It also helps that Ben Stiller is totally committed to the role.

Ocean’s 8

Okay, hear me out on this one. Ocean’s 8 might not be exactly what you think of in terms of fashion movies since it is more of a heist film, but the story does revolve around impressive works of fashion. In fact, the fashion is at the center of the story in a way that allows us to call this a fashion movie.

Necklaces valued at $150 million, the Met Gala, and stunning displays all come together to give us a movie that dazzles. And considering we once again get the talents of Anne Hathaway in a fashion film, I don’t think we can shy away from calling this a must-watch fashion movie.

There are a lot of movies out there that can give us a look into the world of fashion, but if you are looking for something that is also pure entertainment, then these five fit the bill. And once you watch them, perhaps you’ll want to get more into the world of fashion yourself.
