BBC America’s buzzy drama Killing Eve returns, as Season 3 begins with Eve and Villanelle on separate paths. Here’s how to watch the premiere online.

It is time – the third season of Killing Eve is officially here. And two weeks early, to boot!

The buzzy BBC America drama stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer as MI-6 agent Eve Polastri and assassin/serial killer Villanelle, and the show follows the story of the strange, obsessive cat and mouse chase between the two of them.

Over the course of the show’s first two seasons, Eve and Villanelle have alternately taunted and flirted with one another, and each has the other for dead in a seriously cliffhanger fashion. As season 3 begins, audiences have to wonder – what’s next for these characters? And what’s left for this story to do?

If the season 3 trailer is anything to go by, the answer is: Spend some time apart.

Villanelle, it would appear, still believes that her murder of Eve was successful. And Eve, having nearly died, is apparently living a life of hiding. So it seems as though we’ll be watching these two women on their own for the first time since the series began. (Though there’s a difference between their experiences, since Eve knows Villanelle is still out there somewhere, while the reverse isn’t true.)

But this show turns on the tension between these two women, so it’s basically impossible for Killing Eve to keep its leads apart for the entire season. Though it should be pretty interesting to watch them try.
