The trailer for Netflix’s Extraction shows Chris Hemsworth as a mercenary on an impossible mission — and he’ll have to make a difficult choice if he wants to survive it.

With movie theaters closed and spring blockbusters postponed, streaming-service movies are the only film releases fans have to look forward to in the near future. Thankfully, Netflix is bringing us some top-notch content as we wait for theaters to reopen, starting with Extraction. Starring Chris Hemsworth, the film follows Tyler Rake, a mercenary who’s sent to retrieve the kidnapped son of a drug lord.

Unfortunately for Tyler, it soon becomes evident that he’s in over his head. This drug lord’s enemies want his kid dead, and they’ll do what it takes to see that through. And the just-released trailer highlights how hopeless Tyler’s mission is — and the fact that he’ll face difficult choices if he wants to survive it.

The opening moments of the Extraction trailer showcase just how skilled Tyler is, emphasizing what he’s up against even further. When he does manage to rescue Ovi from where he’s being held captive, it seems he develops an attachment to the kid — which is going to make things harder when he’s offered the chance to escape without the boy.

What choice Hemsworth’s character will make remains to be seen, but the stakes are high in Netflix’s upcoming action film. From the directors who brought us Avengers: Endgame — and accounting for Hemsworth’s stellar acting — Extraction is sure to be packed with as much emotion as action. And we could use a little of both to distract us from our current situation, right?
