Due to concerns over the Coronavirus, the filming for Fantastic Beasts 3 did not start as scheduled. Does that mean there will be a delay when the movie will be released?

In the grand scheme of everything, it makes sense that Fantastic Beasts 3 has been delayed but now, as fans of the Harry Potter franchise, we’re back to wondering when we’re ever going to get new content.

Right now, the world is on another level. Not in a good way, it just has bigger concerns than making sure we find out the rest of Newt Scamander’s journey right now. Which is fine. It just is kind of upsetting as fans because we don’t really have any distraction right now, especially since filming was set to begin right now.

What’s important to remember though is that, right now, we’re living a life about what’s most important for the world at large. So having actors go out and about and film something with a full crew and creative team all because we just want the next installment isn’t really something we should be hoping for.

It’s a great move by Warner Brothers and those in charge to delay filming because it’d be a real mixed messaging situation if we all had celebrities out filming things while we’re supposed to be in our homes and social distancing. At least we know the cast and crew of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series are taking this seriously and putting through the necessary precautions to keep everyone safe.

We can wait a bit longer for more content. It’ll be okay.
