Need some help deciding what to read this month? We run down 10 new science fiction and fantasy books hitting shelves this January, to kick off the New Year!

It’s a brand new year – which means its time for new books! (After all, 2020 is is going to be the year we all finally hit our Goodreads challenge goals, yeah? I mean, that’s one of my resolutions, anyway.)

As many avid readers already know, there are a ton of incredible new books hitting shelves in 2020, and a whole lot of them are headed our way in January. Just in time for the most depressing and dark month of the year, in which there’s really nothing else to do but stay inside, cuddle up with a blanket and get lost in a good, magical story.

The next installments in several high profile series will his shelves this month, including new books in Brigid Kemmerer’s Cursebreakers Trilogy, Melissa Albert’s Hazel Wood series, and Ransom Rigg’s ongoing Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children saga. There are also highly anticipated new stories from fan favorites like Joanna Ruth Meyer and Anna-Marie McLemore, as well as debuts from exciting new voices like Adam Silvera.
