While Angela was exploring her grandfather’s legacy on this week’s Watchmen, we also got an answer for why Judd had Klan robes hidden in the back of his closet.

Angela went back into the memories of her grandfather on this week’s Watchmen to learn more about her past. But she isn’t the only one whose history we got to take a deeper look at. During Angela’s journey into Will’s memories, she sees Judd’s death. More importantly, she gets an answer to why he has a Klan robe in his closet.

He says something about it belonging to his grandfather and finding pride in his family. But juxtaposed against the horror’s of Will’s story, it comes off as a pride that no one should have (and as it should).

Pride in your grandfather who was in the KKK? Why is that a moment where you stand tall? And when you look at that with Angela learning about how her grandfather was a member of the Minutemen, it really highlights who in this series we should be supporting.

Time and time again, we see that Angela is standing p for the right reasons and this episode was so beautifully constructed and told a story that not only Angela, but also the audience of Watchmen, needed to hear and it is going to be interesting to see where the show takes this information.

Granted, Angela is still technically in custody for having information on Will and not telling Laurie Blake or the FBI. But then again, Angela was doing her own investigation and seeing the truth about Judd, her family, and the world of Tulsa, it is definitely going to be fun to explore this new information now that she has managed to get out of her Nostalgia induced coma.
