On The Walking Dead this week, ghosts from the past continue to haunt Siddiq while Carol tries to get inside information about Alpha and the horde.
There are just two episodes before The Walking Dead goes on midseason hiatus including this week’s new episode “Open Your Eyes”. Siddiq will have to confront his tortuous memories of what happened in the barn when the pike victims were killed as he tries to save Alexandria from the illness that is spreading fast through the community.
Siddiq’s struggle is getting worse. In the last episode he ended up putting baby Coco in a very dangerous position in one of his PTSD flashback episodes. Based on the previews and the opening minutes it looks like he’s going to have to confront what he saw in that barn and try to make peace with what happened or else he’s going to become a danger to the community.
While Siddiq is trying to save people in his way Carol is trying to save the community her way by questioning the Whisperer she captured. Will she and Daryl torture him to get information? Will he turn on Alpha? At this point the survivors are going to need any advantage they can get to stop her.
The Walking Dead 1007 synopsis doesn’t give many hints about what’s coming but it’s clear from the opening minutes that Carol has a plan to deal with Alpha that involves taking away her biggest asset:
“Carol pushes boundaries that make Daryl uncomfortable. Alpha and Beta have reservations about someone.”
