After all, she moved many with her comments about the gender wage gap, especially after focusing in on how much more difficult it is for women of color to make a fair wage.

But even if we were more interested in what Williams had to say than what she was wearing, we can’t deny that she accepted that award in style. Her Louis Vuitton gown simultaneously fit the evening’s theme of bold looks and kept a certain traditional air to it. The floral embroidery is what truly makes the gown stand out, while the coloring keeps it from popping too much or becoming an eyesore.

And the gown’s shoulderless cut, paired with Williams’ lack of jewelry, gives her a natural and earthy look that truly suits the Fosse/Verdon star. It also complements her hairstyle, which again, is simple but looks damn good on her.
