You know, plenty has happened this season on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. It feels weird that we’re already in the last handful of episodes leading up to the season finale. And with the news that next season will be its last, you have to wonder if the showrunners and writers have a long-term game plan to wrap things up, since season five ended so well.

In case you missed it, the official synopsis for this week’s episode is:

"“The party’s over, and now the team must trust each other in order to face impending doom and an enemy that’s closer than they think.”"

Trust me, we have not seen the last of Izel, that’s for sure.

And the title of this week’s episode, “Leap,” can mean plenty of things. Leap of faith? Someone literally leaping to save the day? This show really does love its literals — and its mysteries. And neither of those things ever pan out perfectly…

We still don’t fully know what the Shrike are capable of, aside from incredibly gruesome deaths that can turn into a homing beacon if enough gather in one place.

And we all know Sarge isn’t dead, right? You can’t just point-blank shoot Clark Gregg and expect to get away with it. If my theory about Ghost Rider pans out, you can expect to see him again. And expect to hear my surprised shrieking.
