Game of Thrones isn’t the first show to upset the masses, especially in the world of sci-fi fantasy. See which other SFF shows frustrated their fans.

Has everyone had a chance to reflect on the Game of Thrones finale yet? Still angry? I bet you are.

The good news is, you are not alone. Fans of sci-fi and fantasy TV shows have long since had differing opinions to TV show creators on how their favorite shows should have bowed out. SFF fans tend to be more passionate, involved and generally better at coming up with alternate theories than fans of other genres, and also better at shouting about it online.

Game of Thrones isn’t the first show to have completely let down its audience (and it likely won’t be the last). From Breaking Bad to How I Met Your Mother, TV shows often end up disappointing audiences with lifeless finales.

When it comes to SFF fan culture, that frustration is much more prevalent. Thus, we’ve decided to run down the top five disappointing sci-fi and fantasy series — in addition to Game of Thrones — to see what else failed to live up to audience expectations.

Oh and of course, major spoilers for all of the shows below. If you are still making your way through Lost, it might be wise to come back later…
