As Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD takes us to an alien planet somewhere off in deep space, brace yourself for hijinks in this week’s episode

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD really wants you to forget about Thanos’s snap.

Which is totally fine. Honestly, Agents of SHIELD shines best when its out from under the shackles of the greater MCU.

And launching half of our team into deep space really helps to make things feel separate. Now, if Simmons could stop making selfish decisions in the midst of a team initiative, that would be great, too. First we need this show to stop putting planets between FitzSimmons.

Here’s the official synopsis for this week’s episode, in case you missed it:

"It’s a wild night out on the planet of Kitson for the agents. While Fitz and Enoch try their luck at the casino, nearby, Daisy and Simmons find themselves in a much … groovier situation."

I have to say, I’m thoroughly enjoying the return of Enoch this season. He was always a fun side character, playing the straight character with probability rates always at the ready. I’m glad he survived the space saw in the season premiere.

Agents of SHIELD always seems to have fun with alien planets and space settings. But we have yet to get a good look at any inhabited planet (Hive doesn’t count). So it’ll be interesting to see what adventures we get to see.
