Fiona Shaw may only have a brief moment in Fleabag season 2 but she shines and brings to life the brilliance that was her performance as Aunt Petunia in the Harry Potter series.
Fleabag is a fun show that brings to life the worst part of all of us but you know who shines in an episode? Fiona Shaw herself! The wonderfully talented woman who brought to life Aunt Petunia, Shaw takes on the role of Fleabag’s (the title character) therapist that her father bought her for her birthday.
While Fleabag doesn’t want to go and just wants the money, she ends up talking to the therapist about her attraction to a priest and the two share their conversation about whether or not it is okay that Fleabag is attracted to a priest and what it means.
While the show has some questionable themes (mainly those thoughts we all have and don’t want to explore), it is quite a fun time for fans of Harry Potter to see Fiona Shaw in this small role. She’s probably also known for her role in Killing Eve, a show that Phoebe Waller-Bridge created (as well as creating and starring in Fleabag). So maybe that’s why she has this small cameo but whatever the case, it is a brilliantly funny scene and honestly, if she was in the series more, I wouldn’t have complained! She’s brilliant in everything she does and we can’t wait to see her shine in Killing Eve!
