The season finale of Saturday Night Live is here, and they’re closing it out with the best: Paul Rudd as the host and DJ Khaled as the musical guest.
Well, this is it. The season 44 finale of Saturday Night Live is this weekend, and it seems like it all happened so fast. We started out with Adam Driver back in September, and saw some incredible hosts like Awkwafina, Claire Foy and Halsey along the way.
Now, SNL is wrapping it all up with a show hosted by Paul Rudd and featuring DJ Khaled as the musical guest. Funny enough, this episode was full of people in the superhero universes: Liev Schreiber, Jason Momoa, James McAvoy, Don Chedal, Idris Elba — heck, even Matt Damon. So it seems fitting that the show closes with the star of the biggest little superhero around: Ant-Man.
Rudd, of course, starred in the box office smasher Avengers: Endgame, and it’s a shame he missed out on the Avengers Family Feud episode two weeks ago. And while we’d love for SNL to sneak in one last Avengers parody before the season’s over, we won’t hold it against them if they don’t.
We’re really hoping that this episode will have some awesome celebrity cameos — it is the season finale after all. The Christmas episode, which also usually has some good cameos, was seriously lacking this season. So the finale better make up for that.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler already appeared in last week’s episode, so that’s off the table. But there are tons of other celebrities who we’re sure won’t mind stopping by the SNL stage. Let’s just hope they do.
