The state of the armies of the Stark-Targaryen alliance
“The balance has grown distressingly even,” Varys says during a war council meeting, as half of the Unsullied and half of the Northmen were both lost. Sansa, meanwhile, points out that they might need some time to recover, but gets headed off by Jon. He’s the one leading the many of the footsoldiers down to King’s Landing.
Things are still frosty between Sansa and Daenerys, and that frostiness extends to Arya as well. Although Tyrion tries to address it, Sansa pierces right through his defenses, noting that the Starks have a poor history in the capital.
Things only get worse when one of the two remaining dragons is shot down over Dragonstone by Euron Greyjoy, leaving only Drogon living.
