Project Runway season 17 episode 7 live stream: Watch online

This week’s Project Runway episode focuses on elegance. But, do all designers have the same interpretation of sophisticated elegance?

A new Project Runway episode is back with a theme that could see popular designers struggle. While every designer has his/her own aesthetic, taste level is always a concern for the judges. Will one designer push the boundaries a bit too far?

According to Bravo, the synopsis for this week’s episode states:

"The designers are surprised with an invitation to a Brandon Maxwell photoshoot featuring none other than super model and Project Runway host, Karlie Kloss. Brandon has made a career on sophisticated, elegant creations and now the final 10 will have to impress him with their take on elegance! If the pressure wasn’t high enough – the designers are faced with a flash sale challenge. America will vote on their looks and the winning look will be sold on bravotv.com!"

A couple of items are interesting about this week’s synopsis. First, it is another flash sale challenge. In the first two flash sale challenges, the top looks needed to be separates. The judges seemed to appreciate looks that a wide variety of women could wear.

Since fans will be able to vote on their favorite Flash Sale look, it will be curious to see where the fans’ opinions fall. In the last Flash Sale, Venny’s look was the fan favorite. That design seemed to have the broadest appeal and was the most wearable.

Given the idea of separates, it will be curious how Hester’s look will be received. Based on a preview clip on Bravo website, Hester is taking full advantage of her immunity. Truthfully, I don’t think that anyone has put pasties and elegant in the same sentence. If she can pull off this combination, Hester deserves the title.

Additionally, it seems that the cattiness is starting to emerge in this week’s episode. While designers have seemed to be a big happy family, the backhanded complements are growing. From fabric choice to the “costume” adjective, the designers might feel a little more threatened by the competition. Could there be more fighting than friendship in the workroom?
