Abducted In Plain Sight

When this documentary, Abducted in Plain Sight, produced by Top Knot Films was created and released by Netflix in 2019, viewers were out-of-their-minds shocked at the abduction story of Jan Felt. The documentary quickly went viral taking over social media and the meme world. And, for good reason!

Abducted In Plain Sight isn’t only a well-produced documentary that keeps audiences entertained through smooth storytelling, but it also tells a life experience unlike any other — An experience that will have audiences constantly asking themselves, “WTF were they thinking?”

Jan Felt’s story begins when she is a young girl and her family’s friend takes a special interest in her. The man is charming and for some strange reason, the family does not think anything of his special attraction to their daughter as he takes her for one-on-one outings and spends time with her after school instead of at home with his wife and children. Even after this “charming” friend abducts their child and brings her to Mexico telling the family they want to marry each other, the family still lets him around their daughter.

Throughout the documentary, the audience is invited to hear Felt’s account of the bold lies and tales this charming man fooled her with to brainwash her into believing that they were meant to be together. (Spoiler alert: It involves aliens!)
