Fashion can be expensive. And if you are looking to snag something high-end or designer, it can eat into your budget. But what if you didn’t have to break the bank?
When it comes to being fashionistas, we want to find the best pieces, the newest designs, and of course high-end products that look amazing. We love designer fashion, and if we can get our hands on everything from handbags and accessories, to stunning dresses and amazing tops, then we are all in.
The problem is that designer stuff can get very expensive, especially if you are looking for something specific. And if you want something from a designer like Louis Vuitton, Prada, or Gucci (among others), then you know that you are likely going to drop a pretty penny.
However, did you know that there are actually plenty of ways to add designer fashion to your closet without actually breaking the bank? That’s right, high-end pieces really can be more affordable than you think. And while you may not be able to grab that designer piece for $10, we don’t believe paying full price is a necessity either.
Not only are there apps like Poshmark and Mercari out there that allow you to pick up gently used pieces, but there are actually a number of options if you want items that are brand new. In fact, even Poshmark sometimes has incredible deals on items that are new with tags, all you have to do is look. And since the app will authenticate high-end products over $500, you can definitely find some great deals if you try hard enough.
With these great stores and options, you can give your wardrobe a designer makeover without going broke. And we think this might be the perfect way to live up to the fashionista name. Just remember that even though many of these designers are still costing a bit more than the average brand, because they are at such amazing discounts, things do sell out fast. So, if there is a piece you absolutely have to have, grab it while you can.

T.J. Maxx The Runway
We all know that stores like T.J. Maxx are a great place to get name brand fashion pieces at a discount. And while there are plenty of brands and designers we expected to see, such as Coach and Michael Kors, there are actually plenty of high-end designers that end up in their stores and online you may not have expected to see.
In fact, T.J. Maxx The Runway is a must-shop option for those of us looking to snag amazing designers at heavy discounts. On the store’s website, you can find such brands as Givenchy, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, and so many others. However, in order to offer these discounts, you can’t search for the actual brands. Instead, you have to reveal the name of the designer for each piece, which means that you have to do some digging. But in the end, it is worth it.
You can find some pricey items that are still discounted on the site. And you can also find some brands you may not have expected, such as Gucci, Valentino, and more. But one steal of a deal that you won’t want to pass up comes from Theory. With jumpsuits and rompers being on trend this year, finding a Remaline Admiral crepe jumpsuit from the brand at just $149.99 means you are getting high fashion at 50 percent off.
If you have a wedding to attend or any other special event in which you may need to dress up, why not go for a designer cocktail dress? And one of my favorite finds was a stunning Guipure Lace cocktail dress from Notte By Marchesa. At $199.99, you save 50 percent and look amazing and elegant while doing it. From the gorgeous purple color to the floral design, this feels like a one-of-a-kind piece that no one else will have it.
If you are still looking for the perfect coat to get you through the cooler weather, then you may want to snag something like the Virgin Wool Bravan Blazer from Escada. Not only will you stay warm, but you also look good while doing it. And while $299.99 might feel a bit high, for what you are getting it is still a great deal, especially considering you are saving $300 right off the bat.
Of course, there are also some amazing deals on Elie Tahari, Rebecca Minkoff, Jimmy Choo, Versace, Zac Posen, and Stella McCartney. Which means if you want a true designer wardrobe, then T.J. Maxx The Runway is the place to shop.

The Outnet
The Outnet is a hidden gem of discount designer fashion. Not only do they offer some well-known high-end brands, but they even have an in-house brand that is just as high quality as any of the other names on their roster. If the designer has walked in a fashion week show, then you will likely find them here.
Among the brands that you can find on this site are Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Stella McCartney, Alexander Wang, and Burberry. Then again, the designers list is so extensive that you can likely snag a deal on any high-end fashion piece you want.
Everything from casual to runway chic is on offer at the Outnet, and I have to admit that while you may be able to save a lot of money on some of the most amazing designers out there, we bet your bank account will still take a hit as you find yourself snagging some of the best deals around.
I have found some amazing deals on this site including a Stella McCartney ribbed wool mini dress. The dress was originally $880, but you can snag it for $352 and on The Outnet. Honestly, how can you go wrong with a wool mini dress from a high-end designer at 60 perfect off? I don’t think you can.
My favorite find so far is an Emilio Pucci draped ruched stretch-jersey dress. Not only is this dress unique and stunning, but at around 85 percent off of $1,580, it really is a steal. While this is not your average dress, at $238, you might find yourself dressing up every chance you can.
Another favorite is an Elie Tahari Laurie woven mini dress. From the slit at the cuffs, to the unique structure of the dress itself, this is a statement piece of an outfit. And the fact that you can grab this for $179, which is a 55 percent discount off the original $398 price tag means that you can wear this with no guilt. So, why not dress to impress for your next presentation at the office?

The RealReal
Much like Poshmark and Mercari, The RealReal is a designer consignment store online. Not only do they authenticate every single item that comes their way, but if you are looking for new clothes with tags, you can still snag those deals. Even though it’s a consignment store, they have many items that are brand new.
When you first get to the site, you have to sign up with an email, but it is entirely worth it because you get an immediate discount on your first purchase. What makes this site so worthy of being added to this list is that they truly have an abundance of high fashion items. And the fact that you can snag designer fashion for up to 90 percent off means that you really won’t break the bank.
I have to admit that this is one of those sites that is addictive to shop at, because once you find the perfect piece at the perfect price, you won’t want to stop. I’ve had to stop myself from dropping entire paychecks here because they really have something for every taste and need.
From constant sales and the addition of new items all the time, The RealReal is one of those sites that has to be bookmarked and looked at on a continuous basis. And remember, because it is a consignment site, things are always changing and what is here today might be gone tomorrow.
Under their Burberry section, you can find the typical scarves that you expect to find, and jackets that will add some flair to your closet. So snag that Burberry wool plaid coat for $245 if you are looking to stay warm in style.
Or maybe you are really looking to spice things up. Then why not grab a pair of Louis Vuitton Metallic snakeskin pumps? At $325, you can be a shiny fashionista in some of the shiniest heels ever.
Honestly, I am addicted to this site and all of the amazing deals. There is something for everyone and if I had my way I would likely buy every handbag that came across my screen.

Neiman Marcus Last Call
Growing up, when my mother wanted to have a fancy girls day with me, she would take me to Neiman Marcus. I used to love being able to see all of the gorgeous pieces and daydream about being able to have a closet filled with all of the silky things.
Now that I am an adult, Neiman Marcus Last Call is my favorite thing ever. Not only do I get to relive childhood memories, but I can snag designer fashion at discounted prices. It really is a win-win for me.
Think of this as outlet-store shopping in a department store setting. I love how many different options I can find when I go into the store. And I also appreciate the fact that I can shop from home when I am feeling particularly lazy.
And because we are trying to save some money, I have to point out that if you are an Ebates member, you can go through that site to save even more money when you shop the Neiman Marcus Last Call website. When you think about it, it’s like savings on top of savings, which you can never go wrong with.
You can find designers like Balmain, Salvatore Ferragamo, John Hardy, Prada, and Jimmy Choo here, and of course that’s not all. There are so many options available and designers that you can choose from that you can completely overhaul your entire closet in no time.
Speaking of Jimmy Choo, if you are looking to make a statement with sneakers, why not snag their Miami metallic leather sneakers for $238. While they were originally $595, at this reduced price, you can shimmer and shine as you make a statement with the perfect sneakers. And yes, the color was a definite draw, as rose gold is still an on-trend shade.
And while there are tons of stunning finds on the site (hundreds of pages actually), the Halston Heritage ruched halter mini dress with a flounce hem is definitely one that stands out, both in terms of fashion and price. The dress was originally $325, but you can grab it for $113. Considering spring and summer weddings are on the horizon, this could be a nice option.
I am such a fan of Neiman Marcus Last Call, that I can easily spend hours both in store and online. And I think you will be too, if you give them a chance.

Rue La La
When I started looking for the best deals on designer fashions, I didn’t realize that Rue La La was the place to visit. But now I know they are the perfect boutique option. They have brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, AG Jeans, Versace, and so much more. And while you have to give them your email address before you can even browse the site, it really can be worth it.
They have flash sales, sample sales, and so many other additional discounts that pop up. And that means that on top of their already discounted prices, you may end up saving even more money than you expected.
Popping onto this site is like finding a new surprise every single time you shop. And the fact that they do different sales all the time means that you just never know what you can find or how much you may save.
Among my favorite finds was an AG Jeans shift dress, which was originally $258, on sale for $55.99. The dress has so much style that it is a must-have for any fashionista looking to update their closet. And of course, the fact that it is the perfect little black dress means you must have this.
One thing I haven’t exactly focused on yet is accessories, but the fact that Rue La La had Jimmy Choo Dahlia sunglasses that were originally $495 on sale for $78.48 means we can’t forget this steal of a deal. I mean, these sunglasses are a must-have kind of accessory for any designer-loving fashionista. And that is definitely the kind of savings that is hard to pass up.
Have some fun, browse the different designers, and save all the money at Rue La La. You won’t be disappointed and your closet will thank you.

Saks Off 5th
Much like Neiman Marcus Last Call, Saks Off 5th is the outlet version of Saks Fifth Avenue. Once again, you have a department store setting for all of your shopping needs, but with fashion pieces at a discount.
What I love about this store is the wide variety of designers you can choose from. We are talking about AG Jeans, Alexander Wang, Anne Klein, Balmain, Burberry, Givenchy, and so much more. And because this is a department store outlet, there are plenty of additional sales, coupons, and discounts that allow you to snag amazing pieces at an amazing price.
While you may already shop at the outlet store for some everyday essentials, the fact that they have a lot of high-end designers as well means they are a great choice for snagging some surprises. Even if you just want to pick up some high-end makeup and perfume, the store has you covered. Plus, the website is easy to browse, which is always a nice thing.
One of my favorite finds at this store is a Vince plaid pleated skirt. I love the color and print of this piece. And the price of $189.99 makes it feel a bit like a steal. This could easily become a statement piece in your wardrobe. Think about wearing this for a romantic date night or when you want to be a bit flirty.
Another amazing find I discovered was a cute pair of Stella McCartney embroidered skinny jeans that featured lovely bird accents. What made this find so amazing had to be the steal of a deal. These jeans were originally $515, but at 83 percent off, you can snag a pair for just $84.97. And I don’t know about you, but I think that’s an impressive savings.
If you are looking for a bit of shock and awe in your wardrobe, you may want to snag a piece from Valentino. Depending on your style, you could snag a runway piece for a steal, such as this Valentino eyelet cotton button-down shirt. Originally listed at $1,690, you can save up to 86 percent off depending on which color of this shirt you choose, cream or poudre. That means you could get a piece of Valentino couture for as low as $219.97. (Even in my mind, I could see the shocked emoji floating in my head when I saw that savings).
Honestly, Saks Off 5th is a must-visit for those of us looking to add some designer pieces to our closet. With such amazing deals and designers at your disposal, you could end up looking like you walked right off the runway (and no one has to know you didn’t spend thousands).
GUESS. Faux Leather Jacket. Image via nordstromrack.com.
Nordstrom Rack
What makes the Nordstrom Rack site one of my favorites is the fact that they have two primary sections, the primary store and a section called Haute Look, which features special events and sales. I look at it as a chance for even more savings on top of their already great deals.
Although Nordstrom Rack isn’t necessarily going to have brands like Balmain or Valentino lining their racks, that’s not to say there aren’t plenty of other high-end designers in store. Variety is the spice of life, and you could end up finding a different designer that really calls to your personal sense of fashion.
And while I love heading into a Nordstrom Rack store to browse the newest additions, there is something to be said for shopping online and finding exactly what you want. In fact, we have even found pieces from designers that the Duchess of Sussex has worn in the last year, including Altuzarra, which means you can dress like a duchess whenever you want.
Speaking of looking like a duchess, why not pick up a dress from Ted Baker London? The brand has a stunning and low-key Joele shift dress that comes in a pale pink and has a touch of embellishment. We could totally see people wearing this as a work dress or for date night, depending on the look you want. And with the dress down to $169.97 from a $315 price tag, it’s not going to break the bank to look fierce and stunning.
With designers and pieces coming and going all the time (which makes sense when things are heavily discounted), you have to pick things up when you see them. Just like with this Altuzarra asymmetrical button hem stripe dress, which is a fun dress with pockets that we could totally see the Duchess of Sussex wearing during a summer outing. On sale for $379.97 (although it doesn’t tell us the original price), this dress comes from a designer we know Meghan Markle wears often, which means that price is a steal already.
I’ll admit I snagged this Cole Haan Belted Packable Raincoat for myself, as the original price tag of $500 got cut by 85 percent. That means I was able to get a designer raincoat for just $75. That’s the kind of savings and style that is just too hard to resist or pass up. And the fact it came in two different colors made this find even better, because it means I have options, even when it comes to my outerwear.
When it comes to finding high-end designers at a discount, you may not always think of Nordstrom Rack first, but it should certainly make the list. You might be surprised by what you end up finding.
HERMES. Moon Stars Enamel Narrow Bracelet. Image via bagborroworsteal.com.
Bag Borrow or Steal
Just like the name suggest, this site is all about the handbags. And we are not just talking any handbags; we are talking high-end luxury bags. When I first heard the name Bag Borrow or Steal, I wasn’t sure what to think. But, once I read more about it I was curious enough to give them a try. And let me tell you, best decision ever (or worst depending on if you are my bank account).
I readily admit that I am obsessed with accessories, handbags, and shoes. Forget the clothes, I want the best purses, shoes, and jewelry. I want the accessories to make my outfit shine. And that’s why Bag Borrow or Steal is the kind of site I find addictive.
This is an online store that offers you the chance to buy new or pre-owned designer bags and accessories. And if you aren’t sure you want the bag for long, you can even rent a designer piece. So, if you have a wedding to go to or some corporate event where you want to look good, but don’t want to go out and buy something that screams “here I am,” Bag Borrow or Steal has you covered with its borrow program.
From vintage bags to newer styles, you can find something that fits what you want and be assured that you are getting a piece of high-quality designer fashion. From Dior to Valentino, this is a must-visit site for people like me who love their accessories but want to save some money.
You could easily pick up a vintage Dior crossbody bag that was originally $795 for just $240. And yes, that bag is now yours to do with as you please. Plus, the site will describe everything from its current condition to how big the bag is.
Or perhaps you want a piece from Hermès (I mean we all want a piece from them, it’s just a matter of affording it). At Bag Borrow or Steal, you could pick up an Hermès moon stars enamel bracelet for $240, down from its original $430 price tag. Maybe it’s just me but this is the kind of bracelet I would wear all day, every day.
And if you are just looking to rent a piece for a short time, that’s okay too. Who wouldn’t want the chance to carry a Louis Vuitton monogram tote? And at $250 for a month, it’s actually not a bad way to decide if you really want to invest (and yes it is an investment) in one of these designer bags for yourself.
I love the fact that I can borrow or buy from the site, because sometimes you find that you don’t love a piece as much as you thought you did. And the fact that you can snag such great deals on designer handbags means you won’t feel guilty the next time you break out that luxury purse for a night on the town.

Vestiaire Collective
High-end consignment stores are a great way to not only save money on designer fashion, but also to snag pieces that are vintage or hard to find. And no matter what you are looking for, there really is something for everyone, from the perfect outfit to just the right shoes and accessories.
And if you are looking for an amazing online consignment store that is dedicated to high-end luxury, look no further than Vestiaire Collective. Here is a consignment store that will allow you the chance to pick up an Hermès or Luis Vuitton handbag. Or perhaps you are looking for just the right dress to make a statement, then this is the store for you. And the fact that they have an Instagram account means following them could lead to even more wonderful additions to your must-have list.
While you have to make an account to browse the many offerings the site has for you, it is ultimately worth it for all of the beautiful pieces you will find. It is actually as easy as using your Facebook to sign up (which I did), and then you are good to go. They even welcome you with a discount to get you started, and considering you are trying to save money on designer fashion, extra savings are always welcome. (Plus, they offer installment payments, which means just because the price might be a bit higher than a non-name brand piece, you can still get it home for less than you may have thought.)
Because this is a consignment shop, it’s important to grab what you want when you find it. Once something is gone, there are never any guarantees that you will see the same thing again. Especially if the price is a steal, since this particular site allows the person consigning the piece to choose how much they want to sell it for.
Browsing their offerings, I found a stunning Givenchy necklace that was a gemstone encrusted gunmetal. This necklace was the kind of piece that makes a statement every time you wear it. And at just $250, it really does feel like a bit of a steal.
And for those looking for dresses, there are some stunning finds and one of a kind looks that will have you wanting to dress up every night. One that caught my eye was the Bottega Veneta brown mini dress. The dress features a bustier top and has a high waist. The dress is simple but elegant, and the kind of dress that would fall into the “little black dress category” if it were in fact black.
As this is a consignment store, things come and go quickly, which means what you find today may not be there tomorrow. So, if there is something you just have to have, grab it while you can.

Century 21
When I think of Century 21 the first thing that comes to mind is usually real estate. Then I remember there is a department store by that name, too. What makes this store an excellent addition to this list is the fact that they have designer and non-designer merchandise at discounted prices.
No matter what you may be searching for, Century 21 is a great option for clothing to handbags and accessories. And with categories broken down by such options as designer, modern, and contemporary, your wardrobe really can be tailored to the look you want or need.
While there may not be tons of Givenchy or Dolce and Gabbana, when you find something you love, it is definitely worth shopping the site. And of course, like any of the other department stores on the list, the savings is worth the hunt.
Lace cocktail dresses feel like a must-have in any closet, and if it comes in a solid color that can be worn multiple times, it becomes a wardrobe staple. One of my favorite finds at Century 21 was the Monique Lhuillier Blue Short Sleeve Lace Cocktail Dress. Not only is it a steal at $99.99, down from $395, but the color is such a vibrant pop that it will make you want to wear it more often than necessary.
Or perhaps you are looking for a maxi dress, but in a stunning red. Then why not take a look at this stunner from Jay Godfrey? The Argon Sheath Dress is perfect for date night, a special occasion, or anytime you want to make a statement. This is the kind of dress that looks lovely on and offers plenty to talk about. And the fact that it is $99.99, which is a savings of 69 percent, means you can look and feel stunning without making your wallet cry.
Finally, nothing says high-end designer fashion quite like the perfect red-bottomed heels. Which means if you can grab a pair of Christian Louboutin for less than the usual ticket price why wouldn’t you? That’s why we can’t forget the fact that the store has an assortment of Christian Louboutin leather pumps. If you search on the site, you may be able to find them for 42 percent off the original price of $695. For $399.99 you can grab these heels in one of four different colors. And in my book that is a definite win.
Alberta Ferretti Coat Grey Wool Jacket. Image via luxuryresale.net.
Luxury Resale Network
Just like the name suggests, this is another luxury consignment shop online. Based out of Boston, this is a consignment shop that has perfected selling designer fashion. And what makes this site so unique is the fact that they have a dedicated section just for Chanel.
So, if you are a Chanel fan, then this is definitely the consignment store for you. While they have other designer brands as well, it is clear that Chanel is one brand they hold dear.
I love that when I first visited the site, I was given an introductory discount on top of their lowered prices. It meant that I was able to save even more money on the designer labels I wanted.
On top of the stunning deals, I like knowing that the site authenticates the products, so I never have to worry about throwing my money away on a fake or knock off. And with a full money back guarantee, I feel secure shopping with them.
And since I already mentioned the love of Chanel, we may as well take a look at one of the stunning pieces they are offering. On the site, they have a pair of Chanel fower pearl heels in red velvet, that also features an open toe. I can envision pairing these with a little black dress and showing up for a night on the town. And the fact that they are on the site for just $250 makes these feel like a steal.
Another stunning find on the site was an Alexander McQueen gold and black midi dress. The dress is priced at just $199 and looks like it goes from the boardroom to the ballroom with ease. Pair the dress with a simple pair of black heels and a tailored jacket and this could be the look that screams “next CEO.”
When it comes to shopping at consignment shops, I love how often you can come across gems that no one else might have. It feels like a chance to shop a personalized collection, and when it comes to designer fashion that idea holds true even more. I honestly think more people should be shopping consignment, especially when you want to save a bit of money.

Overstock
Most of us have all heard of Overstock, and we likely have an idea in our mind of what they carry. But, in reality this is a site that has it all and it is not just overstock goods. In fact, they even have a designer store for those of us looking to snag those designer goods without paying full price.
Not only do they have brands you may not have expected to find, but they also have deals you may not have realized you could get. I have shopped with Overstock for years, and was even one of their sellers when they tried to compete with eBay. This is a site that really will surprise you, especially with the savings.
With prices that seem to change every day, you will want to check back often for the best deals. And when they give you discount codes, stacking the savings can really help.
A stunning dress find I couldn’t resist is the Badgley Mischka blue ombre sequin mini dress. Not only do the colors pop in the best way, but at $254.49, you aren’t totally breaking the bank snagging a designer dress for a night on the town. Then again, this is a dress I would want to wear more often than that, so I feel like I would be going out a lot.
If you are a fan of Dolce & Gabbana, why not snag a pair of sandals from the brand? Not only are these T-strap sandals cute, and at $199.99, it’s a great selling point for G&B. Plus, the purple and pink of these sandals feel romantic and perfect for both spring and summer.
When it comes to designer fashion, you don’t have to pay full price to have the high-end pieces in your closet. And while these designers are still pricey, even with discounts and savings at your disposal, we have to appreciate the idea that when we want to indulge our fashionista-side, we can for a much more affordable price.
Remember though, if you really want some of these discounted designer items, you have to move fast, because things sell out. And this is especially true if you are choosing the consignment option.
