Meghan Markle’s best fashion moments of 2018

Oscar de la Renta bird dress

While in Sydney as part of their first royal tour as a married couple, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Australian Geographic Society Awards, where the duchess stunned in an elegant dress that had people buzzing. For the event, the Duchess of Sussex went with a tea length Oscar de la Renta, featuring a bird pattern.

The black and white printed dress was actually a digital embellishment made by Sarah Esmoingt, a French designer who works with other designers such as de la Renta. And for her shoes, the duchess chose one of her go-to brands, Aquazzura, wearing their black Deneuve pumps.

From the illusion neckline to the tulle of the skirt, the entire look was very much a fairy tale, complete with the birds. And while there were some who thought the birds were too much, we think the design was elegant and chic, giving Meghan the look of a true princess.

We loved everything about this look, including the fact that she chose to wear her hair down in a loose curl. And the fact that she kept the jewelry simple, opting just for rings on her finger, made this whole ensemble complete, as it was the dress that did all the talking.
