In early July, the Duchess of Sussex took part in the RAF 100 Anniversary at Buckingham Palace, alongside the rest of the royal family. And in honor of such an important occasion, it seems that the duchess chose to channel some old Hollywood glamour courtesy of Audrey Hepburn. As a retired actress, we do love the fact that she chose some old Hollywood glam for her outing with the other members of the royal family.

For the anniversary celebration, Meghan chose a black Dior dress with a bateau neckline, which we all know is very much in line with the duchess’ sense of style (she does love her bateau necklines and off-the-shoulder dresses). Beyond the neckline itself, the dress also featured a fit and flare skirt, long sleeves, and a thin belt.

To complete the look, the duchess paired the dress with a Stephen Jones hat, pale cream heels, and earrings from Cartier. And for her hair, Markle went with a sleeked back bun that allowed the earrings to really pop.

We think this look was a classic that really allowed the duchess to shine and embrace her role as a member of the royal family. We loved everything about this outfit, from the hat to the dress, and even the shoes.
