Christmas for Harry Potter is a very interesting time in the series
We know that Harry Potter hasn’t had the best time throughout his life and especially at Christmas. So it’s fun to look back at what the holiday means for him.
Christmas and Harry Potter’s life don’t exactly go hand in hand. The only real joy we saw from him at the holidays came from the Weasley family, when Molly made him his first sweater and he received his dad’s invisibility cloak. He finally understood that yes, Christmas is partially about the gifts we receive but, more importantly, is about sharing your true feelings with those close to you.
For so long, Harry didn’t have that. His aunt and uncle didn’t care about him and they never really got him anything. So Christmas was just another holiday where Dudley was given more than he needed and Harry got nothing, not even an ounce of love from his family.
Now that Harry has his own children though, do you think he gets to have the kind of joy he never got growing up? Seeing his kids happy, feeling loved on Christmas? After all, the only Christmas he remembers with his parents is one where he visited their grave with Hermione before going to fight Nagini.
Honestly, it’d just be nice to see Harry Potter having a nice holiday. We’ve seen him struggle for so long that to finally see him happy, just enjoying his time with his friends and family would be a break from everything he’s been through throughout the series. Let Harry have a nice Christmas.
