Loki, is that you? Indonesian newspaper mistakes Tom Hiddleston for Ed Sheeran

We wouldn’t put it past Loki to temporarily take over a newspaper just to print his selfies in a paper. However, an Indonesian newspaper put a photo of Tom Hiddleston dressed as the God of Mischief in an article about Ed Sheeran’s upcoming gig.

Lately, we’ve had an influx of Tom Hiddleston related news. Last month, Disney confirmed the Loki television series, before Hiddleston briefly returned to social media to interrupt our regularly scheduled tweets to foreshadow the happenings to come. In the same month, Hiddleston prefaced his Betrayal performance at Pinter at the Pinter with the help of another tweet. Then, we all celebrated Loki’s birthday yesterday. Now, an Indonesian newspaper mistakenly included a photo of Tom Hiddleston in character as Loki in an article about one of Ed Sheeran’s upcoming events. Clearly, we’ve figured out how Loki celebrates his birthday: ensuing chaos on a print publication.

Coconuts Jakarta reports that a local Jakarta newspaper added a picture of Hiddleston’s Loki in an article about the non-shapeshifting singer, Ed Sheeran. The article notes Sheeran’s upcoming tour and one of the stops in the tour lineup at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia. However, fans are loving the Loki-infiltrated article.

As Coconuts Jakarta adds, one user tweeted:

"Maybe the one who will perform at the concert is Loki in the form of Ed Sheeran, let’s think positively, guys. Loki is a shape-shifter."

Believes us, we’re always ready for more Tom Hiddleston content, just like the rest of Twitterverse. Given the most recent should-be officially recognized, international holiday (Loki’s birthday), perhaps a certain trickster started moonlighting as a journalist. Maybe the God of Mischief is going to be an opening act for Sheeran’s concert in Jakarta. T

There’s a lot to decode in this article, but regardless, we’re just glad to see that Loki is obviously recovering from his neck injury. (There’s no other explanation for this trickery.)

We realize Loki probably didn’t ghostwrite or ghost-format the story on Sheeran’s upcoming Jakarta performance; however, this case of misconstrued identity happened.
