Daniel Radcliffe is probably not going to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Yeah, sure, it’d be weird to be in the audience with Daniel Radcliffe at Harry Potter and the Cursed Child but Daniel, you’re missing a pretty great show.
When Daniel Radcliffe went on to Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote The Lifespan of a Fact (his Broadway show), he made a confession about his time as Harry Potter. Or more so, how he feels about going to see something surrounding the series on Broadway.
He’s probably not going to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child any time soon. Not that he doesn’t want to, just that it might be weird for those in the audience when they realize that the Harry Potter they grew up with is sitting in the audience, watching a play with them…about Harry Potter.
Daniel hasn’t pretended like he isn’t grateful for the series or anything like that, he’s more concerned with how it will be if he’s sitting in the audience, watching a play about Harry Potter, and having someone who is a big fan of the series next to him.
He’s more concerned about their viewing experience rather than his own. It’s kind of sweet, even if it is egotistical, which Daniel points out. He doesn’t mean to come off as someone who thinks people will care but he is, after all, Harry Potter. So he doesn’t want to go to the show and have people watching him rather than seeing the magic taking place before them on the stage. Still though, it’s a great show Daniel. You should go.
You can see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway and in the West End now. Or, if you want to see Daniel Radcliffe take on Broadway, he’s in The Lifespan of a Fact on Broadway as well!
