Wedding bell bliss: Celebrities who got married in 2018

Meghan Duggan and Gillian Apps

The ice has a new favorite couple! Meghan Duggan married hockey rival Gillian Apps in a wonderful turn of events. It seems as if two rival teams can find a way to get along with each other after all.

The two met as Duggan played hockey for the U.S Olympic team and Apps played for Canada. Their hockey rivalry didn’t stop their love though and the two married in a beautiful ceremony.

Meghan took to Instagram to share a beautiful picture from the big day featuring Gillian and herself dancing and exchanging their vows.

Gillian shared her own post, reflecting on the weekend spent with their loved ones as well as exchanging their vows with one another.

Theirs is a cute story about love even when you are literally playing against each other to win the gold medal for your country at the Olympics.

In what seems like a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet, we see how two people who love each other can get together, despite coming from rival houses (or teams). Congratulations to both Meghan Duggan and Gillian Apps!
