In an era of surprisingly fast weddings, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are definitely up there. They just announced their engagement earlier this year, and then the two secretly got married at a courthouse. Don’t worry though — they’re still going to have an actual wedding.

The two wanted a private ceremony together, just to celebrate their marriage without the bustle of a wedding. “They didn’t want anyone but their families to know they got married. This wasn’t a wedding,” a source told People.  The two seemingly decided to get the legal portions of a marriage out of the way now so they could just focus on the ceremony and celebrating with their friends.

Justin proposed to Hailey on a vacation to the Bahamas when the couple had only been dating for two months but. For how quick their relationship has been, both Hailey’s and Justin’s families have been supportive of their marriage. The two plan to celebrate with family and friends soon in a lovely ceremony and are still planning their wedding even if they are technically married.

In October, Us Weekly reported that a fan was eating lunch near the couple in Studio City, and when they asked if the two were married, they both happily said “yes!”

Congratulations to Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber. Please let this mean that Uncle Alec is going to get Justin in a Saturday Night Live sketch?
