15 bloopers and mistakes that’ll change the way you watch these movies
Pretty Woman
This movie tells the story of Vivian Ward (played by Julia Roberts), a prostitute who is picked up on a whim by wealthy businessman Edward Lewis (Richard Gere). Edward takes Vivian under his wing, transforming her into a sophisticated woman who he takes out on dates. Along the way, the pair, of course, realize that they are falling in love with each other, but know that being together would be difficult since they are two completely different people.
The chemistry between Gere and Roberts is certainly undeniable in this movie. Looking to take this chemistry from the actors to the characters on the screen, Gere hatched a plan to catch his co-star off guard.
When Julia walked out in her iconic beautiful red dress and white gloves, he held the final piece of her outfit in his hand: a gorgeous necklace to complete the ensemble. He wanted to get a reaction out of Roberts so he closed the lid of the jewelry case on her fingers as she admired the piece, surprising her and making her laugh. He had told director Gary Marshall about his plan and of course, Gary thought it was a great idea.
