How far into the future are we going to see in the Fantastic Beasts series?
We know that there are three more movies in the Fantastic Beasts series. So how far into the future are we doing to get? Is it just going to be about Newt?
In the latest Fantastic Beasts movies, we’ve seen Newt and his friends existing in 1927. While that is fun, the real question is: How far into the future is the series going to get? We have quite the timeline still and characters that many fans would like to see again.
Why not have one more movie about Grindelwald then take a movie to tackle the rise of Voldemort and the final film ending with the Order of the Phoenix and, subsequently, the death of James and Lily? It’d make Potter fans happy because we’d get to see some of our favorites in a new way that doesn’t disrupt what we already know about them and would give the series a much needed boost.
Part of the problem with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is that McGonagall was thrown into the movie despite her not even being born yet. Why? Probably to get fans excited. But it did the opposite since we all are the biggest of Minerva McGonagall fans and we know that she was born in 1936.
So, if the series just goes a bit into the future, we can see our favorites in their right eras and get to even see the young Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, James Potter, and Lily Evans that we all want. It’d be a great look into how Harry’s parents and their friends took on Voldemort and how the series we know and love began.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is in theaters now. You can see where Newt and his friends are headed next!
