Cursed Child: Do Albus and Harry Potter ever sort out their issues?

facebooktwitterreddit

We see in Cursed Child that Harry Potter and his son have some issues with one another but do they ever get to figure out their relationship outside of Albus’s schooling?

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child brings up a good question about Harry and his parenting skills: What happens to Harry’s relationship with his children when they are grown? Sure, in the show, we see that he fights often with Albus but that’s just Albus.

With James and Lily, he doesn’t fight them nearly as much and they seem to get along fine. He said to Albus it is because he doesn’t understand him, because he’s most like Ginny. While Harry is wrong (Albus is just like Harry, that’s the problem), it does show that he’s at least trying to learn how to have a relationship with his son.

But at the end of the show, Harry and Albus talk about their problems and seem to have a moment. Is that the end of their bonding though? Or do they, at least, attempt to bring their relationship to a better grounding?

We may never know. It might just be up to us what happens to Harry and his family after the events of Cursed Child or maybe we’ll have to do another show to see if anything else comes to the Boy Who Lived. It would be nice though to see more of Albus Severus, James Sirius, and Lily Luna Potter.
