Kingdom of Ash – Sarah J. Maas

Kingdom of Ash is the long-awaited conclusion to Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series, an epic fantasy story following assassin Celaena Sardothien as she accepts and pursues her rightful role as Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, the lost Queen of Terrasen.

In the previous book, Empire of Storms, Aelin made the ultimate sacrifice to keep her loved ones and kingdom safe — handing herself over to Maeve, while her court attempts to take down the Valg before they destroy all of humanity. Kingdom of Ash will chronicle the final showdown between humans and the Valg, and only its pages will tell if Aelin’s sacrifice was worth it.

The cover of Kingdom of Ash is much like the other covers in the Throne of Glass series, which is to be expected. But there’s something special in seeing Aelin standing upright on the cover, confident and in command. It suggests that maybe readers can hope for a somewhat happy ending after all… or maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

Kingdom of Ash has just hit shelves, and if the cover is anything to judge by, readers are in for an epic conclusion with plenty of badass moments from our favorite former assassin.
