Little Do We Know – Tamara Ireland Stone

If you’re a fan of vibrant colors, you’ll be immediately attracted to Tamara Ireland Stone’s latest novel, Little Do We KnowWhile this cover doesn’t carry as much metaphorical meaning as some of the other books on this list, the abstract artwork still does its job in catching readers’ attention.

Little Do We Know actually explores some unexpectedly dark themes. The story follows neighbors and former best friends Hannah and Emory as they prepare to depart for college (no wonder there are two houses on the cover — see, there’s still at least one metaphor to be had here). The two would like to make amends before leaving, but they haven’t spoken since their falling out months ago.

But after an accident, in which Hannah finds Luke injured outside of his home, the two begin to reexamine what occurred all those months ago. Unfortunately, as they piece together the story, other unpleasant secrets are revealed, allowing Stone to explore just how much friendships can truly endure.
