Rebecca is a free woman but she still seems to be finding herself in some hairy situations on this week’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. And Patton Oswalt returns!

What are we going to do about Crazy Ex-Girlfriend? The show that has taken over our televisions and our hearts for three seasons is now on its path to a series finale. This season has already had so many twists and turns, and we’re just approaching the second episode!

In the season premiere, Rebecca ends up in jail and then is absolved of her crimes when Trent, who put her there, admitted that it wasn’t Rebecca’s fault. If that wasn’t enough, she used her privilege card in the wrong way and everyone had to point out to Rebecca what the problem with her jail time was. She chose to go to jail, despite everyone telling her she didn’t have to and, while in jail, everyone pointed out that they were forced there for petty crimes because of their age, skin color, and economic standing in life.

It seems though that Rebecca hasn’t learned too much. Her friends are performing what looks like a seance this week with the help of Patton Oswalt (who returns as Castleman). But then again, this is Rebecca Bunch. If she learned anything from her actions it would truly be a miracle.

That being said, Rebecca did deny Nathaniel, which was a big deal because he was her weakness all last season. To see Rebecca stand up against him in a way and tell him no was something we’ve never seen before. Typically if a man wanted to take Rebecca somewhere, she’d go. But this new Rebecca is promising and we’ll have to see how it plays out throughout the rest of the series.
