Jack was not the only character who was central to The Nightmare Before Christmas, as ultimately Sally was just as critical to the story. And we have to say, she is a major reason we love this movie, too. Even if the scenes we think of when it comes to the film all revolved around Jack, she still played a vital role to the movie. But perhaps that stems from the fact that it is the intangibles that make her a favorite for many of us.

From her attitude and ability to love, to her resourcefulness and desire to be loved, Sally is one of our favorite animated characters throughout the story. Not only is she resourceful and clever, but she is always ready to take on the challenges thrown her way, even when it seems like what is coming her way is insurmountable.

Even when it comes to her love for Jack, Sally never gives up. She is relentless and so full of energy that we just have to love and admire her. We know she has her quirks and problems, but at the same time, her attitude and general zest for life is what makes her a star even in the shadow of a larger-than-life personality like Jack Skellington.
