Harry Potter fans in America will have the chance to see the “Harry Potter: History of Magic” museum in New York City from now until January.

Potterheads can rejoice as a popular exhibit from London is finally coming to the United States.

American fans of the series are often jealous of all the Harry Potter magic that happens across the pond. Perhaps someone cast a spell to change all of that, because the “Harry Potter: History of Magic” exhibit is headed from London to New York City, and can be viewed at the New York Historical Society.

The new exhibit will give fans of the series a look into Hogwarts and its history. While you won’t be able to say “I read about it in Hogwarts: A History,” you’ll be able to participate in the next best thing.

The exhibit opened on October 5th and offers fans the chance to explore the magical world of Harry Potter. The exhibit comes to New York after it was first shown at the British Museum last year. The exhibit broke major records, selling out with more than 150,000 tickets booked weeks in advance. We are excited that some of us fans in the U.S. will finally have the chance to see it.

The exhibit features sketches and notes from J.K. Rowling as well as real-life artifacts that inspired her when she wrote the series. Some of the artifacts featured include the tombstone of Nicholas Flamel and a real broomstick that once belonged to a witch from the 20th century.

The exhibit is set up based on classes taught at Hogwarts. Different rooms will be based around the different magical courses such as Charms, Potion, Care of Magical Creatures, and Defense Against the Dark Arts.
