The final Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald trailer is a lot to unpack so we’re taking a look at some of the smaller moments and what they mean.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald released a new trailer for the film and while great, there are some questions we still have. Like what exactly is the deal with Newt and his brother? We still don’t know too much about them, just that they don’t exactly see eye to eye.
In the trailer, Tina ties up Newt’s brother and, in that moment, Newt seems extremely happy that his brother was ‘owned’ by his girlfriend. Which, honestly, feels kind of out of character for Newt. Yes, he is timid but he still has his own backbone. He couldn’t take on Grindelwald if he didn’t. So him backing down to his own brother? It is going to need to be explained to us.
With that, the trailer also has the Leta and Newt storyline. Again, we don’t know much about their past. Just that they have known each other and that there is a history there. While the movie was supposed to be about Newt’s journey with his magical beasts, it seems to be a bit more focused on Dumbledore and Grindelwald instead.
So will we get information on that history? Who knows. This series is all up in the air and so we don’t really know what is going to be revealed in the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald film and we’ll just have to wait and see.
