Sure, people aren’t the biggest fans of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child but, at the same time, it is an important addition to the series.

Look, it isn’t hard to know why fans don’t like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. And that’s fine, that’s their right. However, it is important to know why it is a great addition to the series. It shows our favorite character in a new light.

Harry Potter was never the kind of kid who took anything lightly. He fought and made it clear when he was upset and didn’t let anyone run him over with their intentions. As an adult, not much has changed. He’s just a little more confused.

In the show, Harry still needs his best friends, he’s hot tempered, and he doesn’t really know when enough is enough. He should shut up most of the time but that’s just Harry. In Cursed Child, that’s made even more prominent. Most of the show happens because of his mouth.

So sure, there are parts of the show that you don’t necessarily need in the Harry Potter series but it is a nice addition. It shows what Harry is like as a father and is very much on brand for what we know about him. The relationships that have been made clear in the series are still the same and the only thing that isn’t really that necessary is Delphy.

But at the end of the day, it is still part of this series that we have dedicated our time and energy to and that makes it important.
