Jamie Parker played Hedwig’s theme on the piano and we cried

Harry Potter himself (Jamie Parker) loves to play songs on the piano. So when he released a ‘messy’ Hedwig’s Theme, we were ready to cry.

Watching Jamie Parker play “Hedwig’s Theme” is not for the faint of heart. The Harry Potter and the Cursed Child star took to YouTube today to share his rendition of the score and it had many fans getting ready to cry.

Why? Because who doesn’t want to cry over Harry Potter? Or maybe it is seeing Harry Potter play the song we associate so much with the series. Whatever the case may be, it is emotional because it is “Hedwig’s Theme” and it is Harry Potter playing. Observe:

Jamie is very musical inclined anyway and pairing it with a shirt that just says “Werewolves”, this entire video makes us envision Harry at the piano almost sadly playing the song that is meant for his lost friend.

Or probably not since the characters in the Harry Potter series never hear “Hedwig’s Theme” but it would be fun to think about these characters hearing the magical music we, the audience, gets to hear.

So in our minds, Harry Potter sits down one day when he’s thinking about Hedwig, and begins to play the song that always followed her around. It’d be sweet, touching, and would make us all cry. Who cares if it doesn’t make sense?

Anyway, “Hedwig’s Theme” in general reaches into our hearts and tugs so watching Jamie play it is really something else. Also though, that werewolves shirt! How fun is that?!

Next. Jamie Parker attended a Harry Potter birthday party at Cursed Child. dark

Jamie Parker is currently on Broadway as Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. He’s amazing as the Boy Who Lived and definitely see him if you can!
