Lily Potter: The beauty that the series could have had with more of Lily

Harry had a rough life and part of that is because it lacked Lily Potter. What if she had been featured more in the series somehow?

Lily Potter gave Harry more than just his eyes. In the Harry Potter series, it is very clear that Lily is the reason behind the compassion and love that Harry has even when his life has been very difficult because of the Dursleys.

His entire life, he didn’t know what love was. They hated him and did the bare minimum to keep him alive and still, he was a good person. Sure, some of that could be James Potter but Lily is the one who knew compassion and wanted to make everyone feel as if they belonged.

So what if we had seen more of her in the series? The thing about Harry Potter is that there are always ways for people to talk to the ‘ideas’ of those people who are gone. Couldn’t there have been some kind of painting to honor Lily and James that existed that Harry could talk to?

What if there was someway he could just see a glimpse of his mother? It’d be perfect because Harry could realize that that part of his mother exists within him. A big problem with Harry is that he’s constantly told that he’s like his father and he doesn’t see the wonderful aspects of Lily that exist within him.

It is clear he loves his mother and that he knows she is a part of him but it is truly a disservice that we couldn’t see it.

It’s too late now to go back but there would have been a lovely moment in the series if Lily had been able to show Harry that his love and compassion came from her.
