Check out Michael B. Jordan in all his boxing glory in Creed II promo poster

A new promo poster is giving us a glimpse at Michael B. Jordan in Creed II, and it looks like he won’t be backing down from a fight anytime soon.

It’s time for Michael B. Jordan to go back from being the best villain to the sweet, determined Adonis Creed. The actor’s grabbing his boxing gloves once again, and a new poster is showing us that the young Creed is ready to fight again.

In the poster, he looks reminiscent of his on-screen father, Apollo Creed, donning the iconic red, white and blue shorts, and sporting the name “Creed” across the waistband.

It’s a dramatic black and white poster that shows just how serious and ready Adonis is to continue on boxing… And, not going to lie, it also shows that Michael B. Jordan definitely kept up his physique after playing Erik Killmonger.

Jordan also teased that the trailer for the movie will be out Wednesday. But what can we expect from the movie? The sequel to the 2015 film will be a battle of the sons. Adonis will be taking on the son of Rocky IV’s Ivan Drago, Viktor Drago.

Whether Adonis will come out on top for this boxing match, it’s yet to be known — because of course, we’ll have to watch the movie to know that. But if Creed II follows the original movies’ plot, Adonis could be in for a win against Viktor.

Who knows? This movie could even follow in the footsteps the way Rocky IV did by addressing America’s relationship with the Soviet Union. Does Michael B. Jordan have it in him to help us bridge the divide between the United States and Russia? In the movie world, that might be likely to happen. But in the real world… well, that just might be the reason why movies are a form of escapism. And getting a glimpse at an, ahem, well-toned Michael B. Jordan is definitely not a bad form of escapism.
