In a world of remakes, it seems as if even A Star Is Born isn’t safe. But with the new trailer, no one is really complaining.
A Star Is Born is a classic movie that was remade into another classic movie and now it is getting remade yet again. Basically, this is one story we, seemingly, can’t get enough of. First, it was Judy Garland and James Mason. Then Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson took to the silver screen. And now? Well, now we have Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
Better yet, Bradley Cooper is also directing it.
The thing about a story like A Star Is Born is that it is one of those movies we just like to revisit. So when the announcement came that it would be remade for the third time, people had mixed opinions. After the reactions from the trailer though, it seems as if everyone is suddenly onboard.
The trailer shows a new feel to the story, reminiscent of Crazy Heart, it seems as if the Kris Kristofferson and Babs film was taken in more so than Judy and James. Still, it is a story we know. And with a cast that includes Lady Gaga, of course everyone is going to be talking about it.
It is bringing a new generation to this love story and, from the looks of the trailer, honors its predecessors as much as it can while still being an original take. Also though, who doesn’t like cowboy-looking Bradley Cooper?
