Sweet Tom Holland confuses RuPaul’s Drag Race with actual drag racing

Avengers: Infinity War’s Tom Holland had a bit of a mix up in an interview when it came to drag racing. Luckily, he quickly recovered from his fumble.

Quick test. What comes to mind when you hear “drag race”? Do you think of hotrods or Fast and Furious cars speeding down the street, or glamorous performers competing to be the crowned queen?

For Tom Holland, that distinction wasn’t so easy as he understandably mixed the two up during an interview with Absolute Radio.

The interviewer asked Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch, who was with Holland in the interview, who would win at RuPaul’s Drag Race: Tom Hiddleston, Bradley Cooper or Robert Downey Jr.? Holland jumped at the chance to say Robert Downey Jr . . .because he has the fastest cars.

Oh, Tom. Close, but no cigar. Luckily, Cumberbatch was able to quickly correct him because there is a huge difference between street racing and RuPaul’s Drag Race.

“Is that what you were talking about?” Holland asked. Cumberbatch responded, “No, RuPaul, man!”

Luckily, Holland caught himself, saying that he totally knows what RuPaul’s Drag Race is. And we believe him. All is forgiven.

So while Holland recovered, he didn’t officially say who would make the best queen, which is sad. Honestly, we want to know who he could really pick. Maybe that’s because he’s still set on Robert Downey Jr. I mean, did you see him in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows wearing makeup? Truly a queen.

As for Cumberbatch, he knows in his heart of hearts that Tom Hiddleston would make the best queen.

“She can dress up pretty mighty fine,” he joked. And, oh, would we love to see all three of them makeup-clad and ready to lip sync for their life!
