Harry Potter definitely uses his childhood against his kids, right?

While many argued that Harry Potter would be a great father, let’s think about it for a second. He’s dramatic, never had a father figure, and would totally use his childhood against his kids.

Harry Potter has always been sassy. That’s one of the things we love most about him. From mouthing off to the teachers to getting in stupid fights with his friends, he’s been dramatic since day one. So the idea that he wouldn’t also be dramatic as an adult is, for lack of a better term, stupid.

Some fans disagree with a specific scene in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child where Harry, in all his dramatic glory, tells Albus that sometimes he wishes he wasn’t his son. So it brings up the idea about Harry and his child.

First, Harry doesn’t really know how to parent. It isn’t his fault and you can’t hold it against him but at the same time, Harry just is trying to figure it all out. The only kind of relationship he can base it off of is his and Sirius’s and still, that wasn’t exactly the best. On top of that, Harry is totally going to use his childhood against his kids.

Which brings me to the second point: Harry would just guilt them into doing things. Oh, you want money to go to the movies? Well, I used to live under a staircase. You and your friends think me making you mow the lawn is bad? Well, I sacrificed my life to save the entire world. How about that?

And if you don’t think he would, then maybe re-read Harry Potter.

So personally, I love that Harry Potter is still dramatic as an adult. It shows that while he has grown, some of his antics haven’t really changed. And really, who doesn’t love sassy Harry?
