Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler — The Big Bang Theory

It’s amazing that anyone could put up with Sheldon Cooper long enough to be in an actual relationship, there’s someone for everyone, I guess. Sheldon’s someone is Amy, and she might just be the most patient and long-suffering person on the planet.

There for a while, it seemed like Sheldon was never going to have any romance in his life. He’s rigid, literal, and uncompromising. He is also riddled with illogical fears and unyielding rituals. Basically, he’s the most difficult human to ever be born.

Then their’s Amy Farrah Fowler. She’s socially awkward, shy, and without much experience with men. She befriends Bernadette and Penny, and it isn’t long until she develops feelings for Sheldon. As unlikely and downright bonkers as this sounds, Amy isn’t one to give up on something important to her, and she doubles down on getting Sheldon’s attention.

It takes months for him to reciprocate her advances, and even longer for them to take it to the next step. The sheer pace of their relationship would make it seem doomed from the start, but they committed, and it paid off. The two most unlikely people to ever be in a relationship are now living together, engaged, and have one of the healthiest relationships of their immediate friend group.
