Taylor Swift Nominated for International Album of the Year at Juno Awards
By Kara Johnson
The Canadian Juno Awards nominees have been announced, and a great amount of talent will be involved in this year’s show.
Arcade Fire, LIGHTS, and many other Canadian acts have been nominated for a Juno Award this year. If you didn’t know, the Juno Awards are a big deal and Canada and it’s an honor just to be nominated. Although the focus is Canadian artists, the award ceremony features a category entitled International Album of the Year.
Many great albums are honored in this years category but one should take home the trophy? Who? Well, of course, it’s none other than Taylor Swift’s sixth studio album reputation. The album is nominated among many others including, Ed Sheeran’s Divide, Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN., and Post Malone’s Stoney.
We have no idea if Swift will be in attendance for this year’s award show but we hope we spot her, and we hope she takes home the trophy. After all, the album has been breaking records left and right. But we won’t know if we’ll see her until showtime on March 25th.
The Juno Awards has partnered with Plus One so that one dollar from every ticket bought is donated to MusiCounts, helping to ensure children and youth across Canada have access to musical instruments. If you want to attend the award show, visit Vivid Seats now.
