15 times we actively rooted against love

Ross and Rachel — Friends
These two might be known as the most iconic couple of our current television generation, but they were awful together. Time and distance might have blurred your memory, but their relationship had all the red flags a modern day relationship experts identify as toxic and unhealthy.
Ross was incredibly jealous of Rachel. He was childish and insecure, and often interfered in her professional life when he thought she might be working too closely with a male colleague. When he thought she was working too much, he sabotaged work meetings, acted inappropriately at her office, and even came close to getting her fired.
They constantly fought about what their relationship should be, and it was this disconnect that finally led to the infamous “break.” You can come down on either side of it, but the fact remains their relationship only got more toxic and complicated after that.
Although they stayed apart for a long time, they never quite resolved their feelings for each other, and they wound up ruining a lot of other relationships. They also caused each other endless amount of pain, confusion, and heartache.
I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I would not have been upset at a Joey/Rachel match. They would have been cute together, if probably tragically shallow and immature. But that could have never gotten off the ground thanks to dumb Ross. He ruined everything.
