As a final success in 2017, Taylor Swift’s sixth studio album reputation has returned to the No.1 spot on the charts.
The last album to reach No1 in 2017 was Taylor Swift’s reputation due to last-minute Christmas shoppers propelled the years biggest selling album back into the top spot position. This will be Swift’s 4th week at No.1 on the Billboard 200 according to Rolling Stone.
Reputation added 107,000 total copies to its platinum success, and who knows just how many more weeks it’ll stay at the top of the charts. The album spent the first three straight weeks on top of the album charts before hitting No.2 for the past three weeks. But No.2 wasn’t good enough for Swift or her fans as they managed to bring it back to No.1 and we believe that’s where it will stay. After all, it is the best selling album of 2017 and is sure to be the best in 2018. This is Taylor Swift we’re talking about.
Friend and singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran and his album Divide hit the No.2 spot with 92,000 copies. Both have made the top of the charts throughout the year and both have the best albums of 2017. And indeed, they are ready to dominate 2018. Are you ready for a Sheeran and Swift domination? We certainly are.
Congrats to Taylor Swift for the great end of the year success. Reputation deserves it and so do you. Now, to celebrate the first day of 2018, stop reading and go listen to the album on repeat. It’s worth it.
